Is the alarm company located locally? |
A.B. Wass is located centrally to our service area of operations which allows us to respond to customers' needs quickly and attentively. Whether you need a first-time, on-site security assessment or service to an existing system, we're close by to address your unique security requirements.

Does the company provide service support 24-hours a day, 365 days a year? |
If you have a problem with your security system, you need a provider who will respond quickly to your needs and have your system up and operational quickly again. At A.B. Wass, we have fully trained, professional Security Technicians on call 24 / 7 / 365 to meet your emergency service needs.

How long will it take to receive service say in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend? Is the Service Technicians located close by? |
We're ready to respond to your needs whenever you call. Our on-call Service Technicians are always centrally located in our operating area. Usually, calls are answered within an hour or so (weather and circumstances permitting).

Does the company install non-monitored security alarm systems? |
Some companies do install non-monitored alarm systems. At A.B. Wass however, we do not install non-monitored security systems. We do not believe that they provide our customers with the proper level of security that they are looking for to protect their home and family, or business.

Will I own the equipment installed on my premises, or the security company? |
Some companies maintain ownership of the equipment and lease it to their customers as long as they maintain a monitoring contract with the firm. With A.B. Wass, all equipment installed belongs to the customer. Occasionally we are asked by a customer (usually a commercial premise) to provide the equipment on a lease basis and we provide a suitable option to accommodate their needs.

Is there a warranty to cover the equipment installed? |
Most equipment on the market is covered by a 2-year manufacturers' warranty for parts and labour. All equipment we install comes with a manufacturers' warranty and we provide you with a written copy for your records.

Are extended warranties available for equipment and service? |
Yes. For a nominal extra charge, A.B. Wass will provide you with an extended service program that will cover most equipment and service. Our Security Technician will provide you with the details and options available for the equipment installed in your premises.

How long is the contract period for a monitored account? |
The minimum contract for monitoring services offered by A.B. Wass is 24 months. This is the industry standard, however some companies do offer varying lengths based on special promotions they may be offering.

On average, how long does a customer continue to do business with their alarm / security company? |
We can't speak for other security firms, however, an A.B. Wass customer uses our services indefinitely. Often our customers will move out of the area and we will continue the service with the new owners based on a recommendation from the original customer. In fact, we continue to have a large number of customers who have been with us from our first day… more than 35 years ago!
